Exhibit Guidelines: Art that makes you smile.  A turn of a phrase, an optical illusion, a hidden meaning, an inside joke that you can share through your art.

What about this art made you “Wink”?  A wink is an informal mode of non-verbal communication usually signalling shared hidden knowledge or intent - give us 2 sentences or less so we are   " clued in " to the obvious humorous element or hidden meaning in your art.

Artwork size: Maximum 48” on any side excluding frame.  3D size: 7’ tall and 3’ X 3’ footprint.

Accepted media will be: 100% Original – Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Charcoal, Pastel, Colored Pencil, Mixed Media, 3D, sculpture, jewelry, photography and computer generated art.

All work must be original  -  Photography or Digital images must not show simultaneously at another location in Gwinnett County.  No Reproductions.

  • You may enter up to 2 .jpg images via email.  3D may enter 2 images per entry to show dimension or detail if necessary.
  • Entry Fee: $35
  • Entry Deadline: Saturday Sept 29th, 2012. Notification by October 6th, 2012.
  • Delivery Date: Saturday, October 13, 2012 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Wine and Cheese Reception Date: Saturday, October 20th, 2012. 6-9pm
  • Pick up Date: Saturday, November 24th, 2012 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. (no storage available)

Art must be for sale and delivered ready to hang from a wire (no saw tooth hangers) Art may be framed or gallery wrap.  Gallery wrapped means: no staples showing, at least 1”deep, edge of wrap must be painted.  NO wet paintings, paintings without wires or frames “pending” please.

Tannery Row reserves the right to use all art for promotional purposes. Individual artists are responsible for insuring their own art.  Tannery Row Artist Colony retains 30% commission on all sales.  Artists are responsible for paying the sales tax - we will collect tax for you.

Prizes:  1st - $200, 2nd - $100,  3rd - $50

Juror: JON GOLDSTEIN has been Program Manager for ART Station in Stone Mountain since 1993.  In his fifteen plus years as the Gallery Manager he has installed over 150 exhibitions of a wide variety of media in contemporary art.  Jon is an arts enthusiast having been exposed to and involved in both visual and performing arts all of his life; he completed a two-year intensive arts training program in Tennessee after attending a junior college in Atlanta where he is a native and a loyal Braves fan.  In addition to curating for the ART Station Gallery Series, he has juried for various galleries, artist markets and festivals.  In 2011 Jon was a participant with the Metro Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta Class.
