Visual Artistic Duet Collaborative Creations Jim Klippel is currently a principle partner of the award winning residential design firm Garrell Associates, Inc. in the Atlanta area. Chris Canova is their artist/marketing coordinator and has been working there for over seven years. Together they have been rendering homes that appear in many publications such as Designer Dream Homes and Southern Living. The renderings also appear on many websites. Most recently they have been involved in a co-partnership with Natural Element Homes. In April, 2008, Jim and Chris completed illustrating a children’s book, written by Chris, titled “What Happened That Day?”. The book is designed to assist learning to read in a whimsical manner which actively involves the child in indentifying the stylized letters which are incorporated in the illustrations. July, 2008 was their first opening at Gallery Blue, www.gallleryblue.com, on Nantucket Island. The series is titled “Absence of Ego”. The two artists share a deep passion for nature as well as interpreting the unseen world of the universe and how it connects to the individual spirit. The paintings were begun with primary colors representing the raw essence of emotion and clarity of a world without static. Nothing was contrived or created with conscious thought. These introspective abstracts have been created while listening to several forms of orchestral music. September, 2008 our series of visual art of acrylic on canvas made it’s preview at a juried show in the Chamber of Commerce at Jasper, Georgia titled “Symphony at Sea”. This representational series of artwork allows you to feel the movement and vibration of the power of the sea and its essence of life. A new series, Spirit of Africa, has been started for a “Safari” show opening October 18, 2008 and running through December 6, 2008 at the Tannery Artist Row Colony where Jim and Chris are resident artists. This series represents the power of the spiritual energy of life as it goes beyond this earthly dimension. |
